GitHub doesn't count my contributions #209130
🏷️ Discussion TypeQuestion 💬 Feature/Topic AreaProfile BodyFor the past couple of days I noticed that my Github grid isn't turning light green that fast. I've been working on my project and was making lots of commits etc. After a couple of hours I realized that Github grid shows something like '5 contributions' that day. It was super weird, because my repo said something like "16 commits to this repo today". The same situation next day and yet another... My repo was pubic, my settings allowed both private and public repo contributions, I commited from the same email address, I also gave Github some time to refresh. I was commiting directly into master branch, so there's no branching out. At this point I'm no longer sure what's the cause of this behavior. Obviously it's just a small little thing, but I like to see how my contributions look like throughout the weeks/months |

I took a look at your public repos to see what iss going on. In spring-security-jwt there are 16 commits on Sept 28 and 19 on Sept 29, all on main branch and all linked to your account, but your graph only shows 8 and 4 for those days. So the usual causes like a wrong email, the wrong branch or time zones does nott apply here. Your setup is fine. That points to something on GitHub's side. Their docs mention that sometimes they need to rebuild your graph before contributions show up. If it's still off in a day or two, open a ticket at https://github.com/proxy/support.github.com/ and give them the repo, the dates and those numbers, and ask them to rebuild your contribution graph. |
