Opened a status page incident for this: https://status.nodejs.org/incidents/dxhv275kvlm7
v26.11.1 has been released, and docs are now available again at https://nodejs.org/docs/latest/api/ -- closing as the issue is fixed.
nodejs/node#66571 can be used to track the follow-up work related to the new docs generation not working as expected.
Resolved the status page after monitoring traffic; 404s have dropped off nicely for /docs/latest/api/:
