Generate images with Stable Diffusion 2.0, 1.5, and 1.4 all on your Mac using the Apple Neural Engine. It’s fast, and everything happens locally.

Getting started

  1. Download Gauss.app.zip, uncompress it, then move Gauss.app to /Applications
  2. Launch the app by right-clicking then choose "Open". This is required because the app is not notarized due to technical difficulties with Xcode.
  3. Inside the app, create a new document.
  4. Follow the prompt to install Stable Diffusion ML models. This will require between 2.5 and 8gb, depending on which models you install.
  5. Start imagining images!

This is not a release of Gauss itself. Rather, it contains model files that Gauss will download and extract. Each model is first compressed into an Apple Archive (aar), then split into segments smaller than 2gb, which is the maximum file size for a Github release.
