bun desktop dev now passes its freshly built, signed native client to its source host and channel workers. The runner deliberately removes inherited Ace profile variables, but previously failed to replace ACE_DESKTOP_CLIENT; native tools then looked beside the source Bun executable and failed despite the app being open.

The client path is derived from the same checkout bundle as the launcher, and uses that run's isolated home/socket. Source hosts started separately still use the documented explicit setting. Part of #97 and #8.

Validation: bun types, bun run ci, independent review and a signed development build pass. Started through the repository's bun desktop dev command with an intentionally incorrect inherited client path. A real gateway-created channel worker, parented by that runner's source host, reported the correct isolated home and bundled client and completed desktop_apps through a real pi/OpenAI run. No native input, clipboard access or permission changes were needed. Stopping the root runner also removed its host/app descendants and closed its listener; installed Canary stayed running.

Built in Ace

Nate explicitly allowed direct tools for this #8 pass. Codex shell/file tools and review agents implemented, built and checked the change; GitHub CLI created this PR. The final smoke ran in an actual Ace channel through its normal gateway and source worker. The related Ace development-run gap is #97; external harness support remains #9. No installed development app was added.
