Currently, users can switch between Sonnet 4 and GPT-5 by setting the
COPILOT_MODELenvironment variable.The CLI should expose a
/modelslash command for setting the model used for a given conversation, and~/.copilot/configshould support setting this persistently without the need for an environment variable
