Ideas related to artist'ss profile section and QoL improvments. #68

With the latest update of adding an artist's profile. I had 2 ideas related to that concept, which might be helpful.
1.Add an AI disclaimer to the artist's name tag/profile. Since some boorus don't blacklist ai artists.
1.Artists can have multiple names even in the same booru. An idea is to automatically (or give the option to) add those other artist name tags at once when doing the initial query in the search section.
two other qualities of life updates as well I thought about are from an old booru app I used to use:
1.Add a total amount of results found at the top to notify the user how many results are found
2.allow users to add extra tags to the search via posts. IE searching up an artist and finding a tag in the post. Then directly adding that tag to the search instead of going back to the main search page

I've just committed bdf2653 which adds a warning to a profile when the user is known for generating posts with AI.
Most boorus use a single tag for an artist even if they change their name or handle. Danbooru adds aliases too for alternate names. If an artist isn't coming up with a name you'd expect, I think it's better to make the change with the new/correct name on the image board itself so Breadboard and everyone else can benefit.
Danbooru does provide post counts for tags/tag combinations via
/counts/posts, but it's not part of the regular search results object so it would be an additional API request. I'm not yet sure if the other boards support this or not, but I'm open to looking into it some more. Can I ask what the usefulness/utility of this would actually be?I did build the "add tag to current search" idea a long time ago, the first time I toyed around with a long press menu for tags around Feb 2025. That iteration never shipped because I wasn't happy with it, but it's something I'd like to revisit at some point.

For me it allows me to gauge how many photos or videos are related to that tag. When it comes to boorus, I don't like to "doom scroll" when I'm trying to find a specific art piece. This frustrates me when I forget their name of the artist. But remember what's in the piece. Such as game art.
That's great to hear! I previously used a different booru app called boorusphere that supported it. Its archived now but maybe you can see how other devs implemented it?

Fair enough. I've added the option to show the search result count in the search results screen header with 93b4c73. When this ships in today's upcoming Google Play beta, you'll be able to enable it in Settings > Appearance and behaviour.
As for the "add tag to current search", that's not making today's beta or the 3.3 stable, but I'll look into it soon.
