🗄️ Data Integrity & Integration | 🟠 Major | 🏗️ Heavy liftRelease the lease for the unloading acquisition.
If two active acquisitions share the same
optionsobject,.pop()releases the newest lease instead of the lease for the acquisition that is unloading. The same demand can first use the full-source Query and later use the exact Query after the full Query fails. Unloading the older acquisition first can unsubscribe and clean up the exact Query while the newer acquisition still owns it, which can remove its rows. Identify each acquisition separately, or enforce an unload-order guarantee that makes this stack safe.🤖 Prompt for AI Agents

Closing for now. This PR targets the narrow case where one Collection acquisition releases an in-flight Query that another acquisition still uses. The fix grew into broader lifecycle changes without a production report that justifies that scope. If someone encounters this bug in production, we'll revisit it with a concrete reproduction and a focused fix. |
🎯 Changes
A Collection can share a Query result with another Collection. Releasing one acquisition previously could cancel work that its peer still needed. A load could also settle before the Collection applied the result.
This PR ties each acquisition to its own observer lease. A shared physical fetch stays active while any Query DB owner holds a lease. A successful load settles only after its result applies to the Collection.
Behavior
A filtered demand reuses an applied full-source result only when that result covers its subset. If the full refresh fails, an existing dependent keeps its lease. A new equal demand uses its own exact Query. Releasing either demand retires the Query lease that demand acquired.
The provider receives Query Core's physical signal through a lazy getter. A caller abort rejects that caller before an unaccepted result can publish. A peer keeps shared work alive. After commit acceptance, the accepted transaction can still apply. Collection cleanup can abandon a pending accepted receipt.
Fetch order follows query-function invocation. Direct cache edits do not count as new source answers. Reentrant callbacks cannot leave a departed owner on a row or retire a new peer's lease.
The repair keeps published Query Core compatibility. It replaces #2143, which required unpublished Core APIs. Repeated direct acquisitions with the same options object release the newest accepted lease first.
Evidence and limits
The four original public failures in #2160 and #2162 now pass as ordinary tests. The lifecycle and ownership oracles cover named and generated release, abort, refetch, callback, and application histories. They compare caller outcomes, applied rows, receipts, physical signals, and observer leases at controlled checkpoints. Hostile controls fail at those comparisons. The exact-head review records the tested laws and remaining schedules.

The laterc064d5e61commit updates only the review record and checklist.Arbitrary chains of reentrant successor fetches and storage at the same callback cut remain unproved. #2188 tracks receiving histories omitted during integration. #2176 tracks distinct source-provenance failures outside this repair.
