   Hi there! 👋

I (@doggy8088 / Will Huang) have stepped in to take over active maintenance of Carnac at doggy8088/carnac (project website: https://carnac.gh.miniasp.com/).

   Regarding Windows 7 (32-bit / 64-bit) compatibility:

   • The old 2.3.13 Setup.exe frequently failed on Windows 7 due to Squirrel.Windows installer issues and missing .NET Framework dependencies.
   • In our maintained fork (doggy8088/carnac), we removed Squirrel.Windows (Retire Squirrel and add an opt-in update check doggy8088/carnac#57) and provide both a clean Portable .zip (Carnac-Portable.zip) and an Inno Setup installer built as AnyCPU targeting .NET Framework 4.8 (Windows 10 / 11 recommended, or Windows 7 SP1 with .NET Framework 4.8 installed).
   • If you run into any issues, feel free to check out our repository at https://github.com/doggy8088/carnac!
